According to a report from mysoutex.com, a two car accident on FM Road 673 in Mineral, just north of Beeville, resulted in 3 children being sent to the hospital. It appears the accident may have been caused by one driver running a stop sign.
After arriving the scene of the accident, volunteer firefighters had to use the jaws of life to remove the passengers. According to a partial police report, at least 6 occupants were involved. One person was air-lifted to a hospital by helicopter and the others were sent to Christus Spohn Hospital in Beeville. One of the victims has been identified as a two year old boy.
